Before embarking on OHSAS 18001 Occupational Health and Safety Management Systems (OHSMS), key staff of the certifying organization should have a clear understanding on what OHSAS 18001 is and how the standard fits into the company's policy and objectives. Besides the OHSAS specifications, applicable legal requirements form another part of the requirements that is obliged by the organization. Certifying organization should address both of the requirements when implementing this internationally Standard. |
