As to comply with the requirements of Environmental Quality (Scheduled Waste) Regulations 2005, factory occupiers need to ensure that scheduled wastes are labelled, stored, inventoried and disposed accordingly to the requirements of the Regulations. According to these Regulations, it is compoundable [RM2000] for not providing training to the employees who are handling scheduled wastes; and needless to say for factory occupiers that are not disposing scheduled wastes correctly can be fined up to RM10,000 or imprisonment for 2 years or both.

TARGET GROUP |
|
Any person that is generating scheduled wastes in the factory. It is suggested that the person in charge of handling, labelling, storing and disposing of scheduled wastes shall attend. This course, however, is NOT for operators of scheduled waste treatment plants.

LEARNING OUTCOME |

At the end of the course , participants are expected to: 1. Understand the environmental, safety and health effects of scheduled wastes; and 2. Able to comply with Environmental Quality Act and Regulations that are related to scheduled waste management as Waste Generator
